The Government of Japan has approved 1.5 Million United States Dollars to fund several programs that will create jobs for young people, and enhance processes in the Agriculture, Maritime and Fishery Sectors of Liberia.

The Government of the Republic of Liberia on Thursday, January 31, presented its Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Liberia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, His Excellency Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr. has begun exploring opportunities for collaboration and partnership between the Cities of Monrovia, Paynesville and other major cities in Liberia, and the City of New York in the United States of America.

The United Nations Peacebuilding Support Office (PBSO) has approved for this year-2019, Five Million United States Dollars (US$5,000,000.00) for the implementation of four projects that will advance reconciliation efforts, and enhance the sustenance of peace in Liberia.
