The Republic of Liberia was on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, overwhelmingly elected as a Member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to serve a three-year term; beginning January 1, 2021, and ending on December 31, 2023.
The Republic of Liberia, represented by its Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, His Excellency Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr. has been elected as Vice-Chair of the Special Committee on the Charter of the United Nations and on the Strengthening of the Role of the Organization.
