CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE OF LIBERIA, DELIVERED BY H.E. MR. DEE-MAXWELL SAAH KEMAYAH, SR., PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE & AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY & PLENIPOTENTIARY OF THE REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA TO THE UNITED NATIONS; DURING A COMMEMORATIVE EVENT HELD FOR THE VICTIMS OF THE EASTER SUNDAY ATTACKS IN SRI LANKA

Let me, first of all, say a big thanks to Madam President of the United Nations General Assembly(UNGA), and the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka for co-organizing this commemorating event for the victims of the Easter Sunday Attacks in Sri Lanka.

Once again, on behalf of H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, President of the Republic of Liberia, the Government and People of Liberia, and in my own name as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Liberia to the United Nations, express our deepest sympathy to the Government and People of Sri Lanka following the deadly terrorist attacks against churches and hotels in Sri Lanka.

We are deeply saddened by these barbaric and inhumane acts, and join many others in strongly detesting same.  The People of Liberia stand in solidarity with Sri Lanka during this intricate period of national mourning. Our sincere thoughts go out to the loved ones of the victims, and we wish the injured speedy recovery.

It is our fervent prayers that God will heal their wounds and restore renewed hope and security to the people of Sri Lanka. Such horrific acts have no place in our civilized global village. Please accept our deepest condolences.
